RAW Pressery’s detox drinks are shaking up the juice category

For many people with busy work schedules, the goal of staying healthy is quite a challenge. RAW Pressery, India’s first clean label food and beverages company, that was recently funded by Sequoia capital for 30 crores, is set to help thousands do exactly that.

For founder Anuj Rakyan, a freak football injury in 2013 turned out to be the seed of a business idea. When told by doctors to increase his intake of leafy vegetables, fruit and protein so that his calf muscles could heal quickly, Rakyan, a vegetarian, realised that the best way would be to blend vegetables and fruit in a juice presser.

Returning to India from the U.S., he was surprised to find that the concept of healthy drinks didn’t exist – shelves were flooded with processed juices and aerated drinks – and so he launched RAW Pressery to fill the gaps in India’s health beverages market, and “make healthy and fresh juice easy and accessible to people.”

RAW Pressery offers juice cleanse packages made from 100% pure fruit and vegetable content without any preservatives, added sugar, or even water. They are loaded with a huge amount of nutrients that can be easily absorbed by your body. A 410ml bottle of juice is to be consumed every 2.5 hours for a duration of 1, 2 or 3 days. This infuses the system with nutrition to help reboot it, recharge energy meters and set the body on the right track.

Consequently, the cold-pressed apple, beetroot, ginger, carrot and lemon detox drinks have become a favourite among fitness enthusiasts. Since 2013, RAW Pressery has managed to get funding of over $7 million, making it the most funded cold-pressed juice startup in India.

Raw Pressery juices and smoothies are inexpensive, convenient, delicious and a very simple way to get a dose of healthy fruits into your system. And if it gives you a glow that you don’t have to spend a load of money at Sephora for, then sign yourself up.
