Petdom makes you believe that technology is a boon after all. This online dog adoption platform, started by Neha Khandelwal, Abhinav Tyagi and Udit Agarwal, was set up in December 2015, but has already facilitated more than 90 adoptions so far.
Active as an online portal as well as an Android app, Petdom works with ethical breeders, NGOs and animal organizations, including People For Animals, Friendicoes and the SPCA to list puppies and dogs in need of a home – and include a description of health conditions and personality traits, too! Users can also set filters to check the availability of a dog as well as its compatibility with their lifestyle ie. the size of their house or work schedule.
Petdom also has another platform called PaWish, which is a site offering monthly subscription boxes of goodies for dogs, complete with food, treats and toys. Owners can choose between Chewy, Crunchier (with added munch) and Richest, and can customize the box with special instructions regarding the age, size, breed, and allergies of their dog. You may not be sure of the nutritional requirements of your pet, but with a PaWish subscription, you can rest assured that your four-legged friend will be healthy and happy, too!
